Ranging from their tuneful and well-crafted original pieces to traditional bluegrass and hillbilly jazz classics, to Grateful Dead, Dylan, and inventive interpretations of any and all songs that catch their fancy, the Tricksters have a huge working repertoire. ZTAT is also renowned for the trademark jamming ability these guys have displayed for over two decades in their larger, electrified form. This is not your Mother's acoustic band. Jeff, Klyph, & Tom The Zen Tricksters have just finished the recording their third CD. They are proud to present Shaking Off the Weirdness.
The album features all originals including new titles such as High Horse and Sleepwalking, plus staples of their live shows, Light of Life and The One. It also boasts a colorful roster of special guests including former Trickster and current member of The Other Ones and Phil Lesh and Friends, Rob Barraco, Buddy Cage from the New Riders of the Purple Sage, Tom "Banjo" Hanway, and former ZT Jason Crosby (Oteil and the Peacemakers, Susan Tedeschi).
